Worshipping God, Following Jesus, Loving our town.
Malvern Baptist Church Walking Group meets weekly for a walk of around 2 hours in the splendid local countryside. The difficulty of the walking ranges from easy to moderate, which we will try to advertise in advance. Our group is open to all and we welcome new members.
Walking in the past year has been limited by Covid 19 restrictions, but we can now start group walking again providing we stick to the guidelines. Regular walkers should have received a copy of the Malvern Baptist Church walking group COVID guidelines and these can be found by clicking here.
If you would like to join MBC’s Ramble on the Hills this week’s walk is on Friday 21 st May and we will be walking the length of the Malvern Hills to support Sue Chappell in her Captain Tom 100 Challenge to raise money for Mission Direct. We will be starting at 8am from Chase End Hill car park, but you will need to let Jean know if you are coming so we can arrange transport. Please bring your own refreshments and let Jean know on 07941 623867 if you are coming.
Future dates for your diary: Tue 25 May, Thur 3 June, Fri 11 June, Fri 18 June, Tue 22 June, Fri 2 July, Tue 6 July.
Occasionally, the group will tackle longer walks. For example, we have walked the Worcestershire Way and the Peak Pilgrimage route over 4 days.
Thank you to all those who have joined us for walks this year and for being understanding about distancing and limited numbers. We have been blessed with pretty good weather for nearly all of our walks and have enjoyed sharing stories with each other, while getting that good dose of exercise. I know it has been good for me and I hope you feel that you have benefited too.
