Welcome to all Visitors!
Who are we?
Malvern Baptist Church consists of a wide range of people of all ages. Whoever you are, a warm welcome awaits you here.
Arriving at the church:
There is plenty of free parking in roads not far from the church. Our carpark is very small but if you are not able to walk far please do use it. For directions to get here please look at the find us page. It's a good idea to arrive a few minutes before the service starts.
For the morning service most people begin to arrive from about 10.40. You will be greeted at the door then one of the stewards will give you any books that are needed, and a news-sheet, and will help you find a seat.
What to wear:
Everybody is different! Some people like to dress up a bit, whereas others like to wear what they feel really comfortable in, so the choice is yours.
What to expect:
Churches vary a lot so if there's anything you want to know about how we do things please ask the person at the door or anyone near you. We usually start with a couple of minutes quiet while the minister and deacons pray in the vestry before the service begins. We start with a few notices, most of which will have been displayed on the screen before the service. Then after a few opening sentences we usually have a hymn. We usually stand for hymns and sit for prayers, talks, readings and the sermon. During the service there is a collection. If you are visiting us please don't feel you have to put anything in. After the service tea and coffee are served in the Church Lounge leading off the entrance hall. Do join us!
