Sunday School
At Malvern Baptist Church, all children attend the beginning of the service each Sunday and then leave to attend Sunday school in various classes. The youngest two groups start together with singing and then share ideas for prayer. After this we split into classes to hear a Bible story, followed by a related activity. Our aim is to foster enjoyment in learning about the Bible’s teachings and to show how these are relevant to us today. The two Bible classes meet separately. All classes look at the same story as presented in Go Teach teaching materials, though with different emphasis for the different age groups.

This year our Nativity Play was a bit different!
There are currently 4 classes with age groups roughly as shown:
|
Daniel's Den |
Children aged 3-7 years |
|
Jonah's Whale |
Children aged 8-9 years |
|
Bible Class 1 |
Children aged 10-13 years |
|
Bible Class 2 |
Children aged 14 years and over |
We can also run a crèche for children under 3. The children are very much part of the Church and throughout the year activities are arranged involving the children (e.g. Christmas party, outing, nativity, youth weekend, All Age Services, Good Friday workshop, Christmas Carol Service, fundraising evenings etc). Each year the Sunday school raises money for a good cause. These are some of our projects:
