Church Meeting

The Church Members' Meeting is an important part of the life of the church, and covers many areas including worship, young people's work, administration, appointments, mission and other activities.  At the meeting members try to prayerfully determine God's will for the church.  They are held every other month, usually on the third Wednesday in the month.

The meeting begins with prayer and a reading from the Bible, so that in both spiritual and practical matters we are seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

The normal way of becoming a member is following Believer's Baptism or by transfer of Membership from another church.  The church has Open Membership, which means that the Church Members Meeting may also accept for full membership people who have an equivalent standing to Believers Baptism, such as confirmation.

The Deacons normally meet once a month, on the second Thursday of the month.  Again, prayer and reading from Scripture are a key part of the meeting.
